The following are significant features of the Netrack network facility.
- Communications
- Primary Internet service lines are redundant for reliability and the ability to add
bandwidth at a moment's notice. All communications equipment models are proven reliable -
no skimping. Wiring is professionally installed and includes extra capacity for expansion.
- Power
- All network components, including customer co-location systems, are supplied via battery
back-up power systems. Instead of a single UPS to serve a large number of systems, no more
than 1KVA of equipment is on a single UPS. So if one fails for any reason, not all systems
are affected.
- Physical Area
- The machine room is a real machine room - not some closet or the corner of an office.
The machine room is completely secured. Adequate cooling and power exist. All equipment
and cabling is installed in racks and cable systems.
- Bandwidth
- The primary Internet access is dual 45Mbps. Netrack Internet connectivity is via the most
reliable and efficient network bandwidth paths available: local connections
to over 10 major backbones. To ensure that bandwidth is always available, we
regularly monitor utilization and plan upgrades minimally six months in advance.
